Shameless Self Promotion!
Re: Shameless Self Promotion!
Hey Oscar,
yes I'm still not to happy with the result but need to focus on other stuff atm, so I posted it for now as it is
By post-pro approach sadly brightened up the trees to much, and I had no masks of the lying around to counter that
Regarding the colourfulness you maybe right, but since the sun is quite low the sky is colouring the scene and I havn't aimed for perfect white walls for the house interior... maybe I should try on a later stage!

Ok, I just invested some extra time for the Post processing, with some mask I rendered quickly.
Here the 4K file.

Re: Shameless Self Promotion!
Another Quicky for my Portfolio, less a scene to talk about rather a example of 3D scanned people that customers could get in their scenes instead of fake 2D cut-out people from AXYZ Design.

Totally believable, especially the girl in the middle.

Very cool!
Are these ones from axis or renderpeople? Or did you scan them by yourself?
Cheers, zeiti

Re: Shameless Self Promotion!
Its been a while, here some new Projects, visit http://www.polygonmanufaktur.de for more:
For quite some time I do simple perfume studio shots for a designer who sells his designs to soem of the big brands of that biz. Usually one Guy does the 3D modelling, then I get these models and set up the scenes and render. In the end another guy uses my stuff and adjusts colours and brings all the Logo stuff and type on the packs etc. in 2D. This are just a few examples that I'm free to share. For the glass I usually need to cheat, using different IORs and render glass objects solo to prevent reflections and refraction of other scene objects:
Two different Boxspring companies here in Germany asked me to visualize one of their product in a virtual scene. Only thing interesting is maybe that for one of the shots this rendering was set as reference, so I even used the same 3D models for a few things in the scene A interior to show off products like this "cat tree" made for a pitch. The cat tree itself was "painted" over my rendering (that had a 3D dummy of the tree) in 2D based on a photo. The retouch was not done by me:

Very cool, thanks for sharing!
I really dig the style that you developed over the years - something about the "cleanness" of your renders, the professional look or the color balance or whatever.
But what about the sofa in the last shot? Is the mat based on Ono's ancient thread or is it some new magic?
The floor is a beauty, too, probably sth not to fancy material-wise, but ABSOLUTELY convincing in this shot.

Re: Shameless Self Promotion!
Thanks for the kind words guys
regarding the red sofa material: Yes its based on the maxCosTheta() ISL function,
I used the following code in a diffuse material for albedo colour,
and blended that into my main Fabric material that has texture, bump etc.
I raised the vec3 numbers so high (and lowered the negative ones for super dark black) that this extreme material blends nicely and shows effect quickly without overriding to much of the base fabric...
