"Advanced" WIPs
Re: "Advanced" WIPs
@Pibuz, Look at your big happy face! Great details as usual, look forward to seeing how this turns out! You need to get something new in time for the v4.0 banner!!!!
Re: "Advanced" WIPs
That must be because I'm in love with the woman of my life
YEAH: I really hope I can do something cool for the Indigo team to use for the next release!
...brrrrr...high expectations here!

Re: "Advanced" WIPs
Here is another wip: this one is a real work, a B&b in Asiago in the italian Alps. Forgive the hundreds of errors, this is done in a hurry, and the composition doesn't convince me at all.
The walls are grey because they're sketchup default material, so SkIndigo exported them as oren nayar...
I bump the request to our beloved developers about exporting the SU default mat as diffuse....
..please..pretty please? Xmas gift?

Re: "Advanced" WIPs
Orey Nayar? First the default material was Phong, and now Oren Nayar? With what sigma?
Anyway, it's a nice shot but by your super high standards it does indeed look a little rushed. With whiter walls, better displacement on the rough stone and wood, maybe an angle tweak and longer render time it'll look even better.

Don't be too picky......
I don't have enough time to finish this..
WHY GOD WHY is it always like this?

Re: "Advanced" WIPs
Don't know what you're talking about, I think it looks great!
Re: "Advanced" WIPs
Ok, so I try to list what I'm not too satisfied with:
1. the white plaster looks horribly fake
2. the frames of the electric switches would have to be white instead of black
3. the displacement map needs a lot more work
4. the wood is too shiny where reflective
5. the (too) distorted perspective makes the bed block the view (it seems gigantic...)
6. the skirting of the piece of furniture under the TV is oren nayar instead of shiny wood

Same project, another room.
This is the main livingroom. My project is interior design only: the existing (ridiculous) space was already planned by another (pfui) architect.
For this one I developed two shots using the light layers system.
For this one too I'm out of time, so I fear this is the last versions..

Re: "Advanced" WIPs
These last ones look very nice from a technical point of view, but a little dark on my screen. Would not hurt with some of those lamps turned on in the day shot by the way.
Still, good images.

Ciao
Complimenti, le immagini sono già belle così anche senza ulteriori aggiustamenti.
Caso mai ed è una mia personalissima opinione vorrei l'ambiente più caldo magari con qualche luce tipo Edison.
Congratulations, the images are already pretty well even without additional adjustments.
If anything, and it is my personal opinion I would like the warmer environment perhaps with some light type Edison.

Ciao Contegufo!

Hi Contegufo! I must have missed your comment, sorry
I do agree with you: I've seen the edison lightbulbs recently and they're very cool indeed! Sadly, I have no more budget to spend over these images, BUT I found on the warehouse an inspiring model and I did some testing. This is the result. Diffraction comes from Indigo, it's not postproduced.

Thank you guys!!
Believe me: all credit goes to the lightbulbs. They're extremely photogenic.
The rest is really simple, really nothing worth mentioning.
To tell the truth, I've been very happy of the pillows: the good appearanc must have been determined by both good textures and effective lighting.
