Hi
In SketchUp the transparency value can be adjusted with a slider. In CINEMA 4D I'm forced to make a material blend?
Would not it be easier to use a slider?

Please post requests marked as such in th properer subforum!
[REQ] Transparency in C4D
Also you don't need to do a blend in C4D!
Simply activate the blend option and use the % slider.
C4D automatically blends that with Null Material...

Re: Transparency.
Leaving a blank spot for a material slot inside C4D usually exports that slot as a null material, but bare in mind that if you it leave it blank inside a coating material it will automatically create a standard, white, diffuse material. So, in a way, we already have a slider that you want.

Their explanation makes sense:neo0. wrote:I totally agree with you man! I would love to have a slider in indigo!
MSDNUse a slider when you want your users to be able to set defined, contiguous values (such as volume or brightness) or a range of discrete values (such as screen resolution settings).
A slider is a good choice when you know that users think of the value as a relative quantity, not a numeric value. For example, users think about setting their audio volume to low or medium—not about setting the value to 2 or 5.

Hi
A slider and a numeric input field dynamic so we can all agree.
