Both were designed before I posted the previous pic wich is anterior itself, I for one have been more on meshes and their uploading attempts lastly :|
Wow, these leaves look fantastic! Is this this done with Sketchup? I always struggle to get some realistic looking trees and bushes in Sketchup, the best I could achieve so far is using external obj-files, and some simple phong material for the leaves...

I'm really bad with SU, beside pulling surfaces ! Thanks though, guys.

The mesh will come out of my PC as an obj too, from Maya using some integrated tools. My last work is on leaf shaping, because leaves, unlike in these images, will be of a square shape. Some funny things coming around with that, keep posted !

Yes, very nice looking trees. From distance, the leaves are looking very believable.

I'm posting here a leaf material that applies on square shapes, imperfect but useful probably Hopefully not coming upside down

once a plant type is defined, one can apply heaps seeds to the model for new individuals of that type. paint effects is the name.

here's a better version, with useable params in the clipping shader. the various materials are not optimised for performance yet though.

well, even the trees do not need leaves in this season here... :P

terrain shader v.3.9, canyoning being a parametrisable option now, allowing for a rather controlled terraces generation. Added noises in Erosion and Erosion Center params fyi. Next version should allow the inclusion of textures to drive certain parameters.

blah, but it is soon coming to you !

This looks very cool. And I like how bright it is, you know - like a true snow.

P.S. Any chance for "Canyons 2 with atmospherics" being 2560x1080 wallpaper?

hi dakiru

I was stuck for a moment with a blue snow until I realised that the terrain color was to bright and was biasing my tone mapping settings.

you will render that wallpaper yourself, next thing I do is pack and upload the scene !

so here's a pigs to render, just save the materials as you like.

That's not the settings that led to the render dakiru, but it is in there potentially.

for some reason I like the canyons v2 feeling better...

help yourself everyone !
