Could it be better than this ?

Post by Smukkehansen » Thu Aug 28, 2014 12:18 am

Hi Indigo,

I have made a file in SketchUp and use your program to render it.

Is it not possible to get a higher resolution than 72 dpi, or a bit sharper than the one i made, it's very blury and not sharp!

It render for about 24 hours, and not finish

Best,
Jesper :D

The resolution in Indigo is not measured in DPI, but in pixels wide and pixels high. Under Render Settings, you need to crank up the resolution to the double, for example. That will make the image more defined. Leaving it to render for several hours won't make the image resolution higher! For a scene like that, half an hour should be more than enough.

Also, Indigo does not stop rendering, it keeps on going... You will need to stop it manually or set a SPP value limit. See the FAQ's and manual.

Also set your camera f-stop to 8 to avoid Depth of Field blur in your scene.
Use supersampling together with the sharp downscale filter for sharpest output without ringing!

Hey ;)

There is no direct shadow-density-control ;)

You need to change tonemapping, or set another Lightsource to bright up the area ;)

You also can render Sun & Sky in different LightLayers and reduce Sun strength for also lighter shadows (and less sun light!) ;)

Thanks for quick reply ;-)

No i have something to work with.

When I find the perfect settings, is there a smart way to save it for my others scene ?

Thanks again,
Jesper
