Shadow catcher and blendigo

Post by Doug Armand » Fri Dec 27, 2013 5:09 am

Hi,

Want to play with some compositing and am trying to get the shadow catcher setting working. Following the instructions here, http://www.indigorenderer.com/documenta ... s-tutorial, I use a diffuse material with the shadow catcher option checked but there is no setting under rendering mode for shadows as in that tutorial. Any ideas? or is it just not fully implemented yet?

I think the shadow pass is only available through the Indigo UI, and not in Blendigo.

Looks like your right - damn. Was going to use this for a animation. Can't see how I can now.

I've been going over the Blendigo code lately and think I might be able to put that in, if you'd like. Give me a little while to take a closer look and see if I know what I'm doing...

I understand how to do that it's just that it's not very convenient - too much hand holding.

Nah, I mean updating Blendigo to include the shadow pass.

Hi Stompin - I was replying to Zom-B - but if you can do that it would be great. Thanks

Try this out, I tried it and it seems to work OK. Shadow Pass is now available under render settings.
