Thanks everyone!

Haha wanted good caustics myself so bad. Actually if you look at the light layer image on the lower rirght you will notice bright light splotches on the ground. Tried lower res test renders from other perspectives too.
Those were the caustics, but they didn't look crisp and fancy to be worth waiting ages more to render and also I would have needed to sacrifice the underwater feeling a bit to show them in this scene.

Also what Headroom says, I think they got blurred by the SSS a lot.

Oh also I'm writing short breakdowns for each weekly scene in case you ever feel like checking it out.

You can find those on the fb page in my signature or simply replace the 28 with any number before it or soon to come. The links will stay the same.

Not the best read, but I'm always in a rush so just trying to document things that come to mind.

Haha thanks so much people.
I agree with CTZn, you should really do some more renderings enslaver, that abstract crystal thing in the sand was what got me into Indigo.

Here's a new one, some physical aperture flares in there as well.
Also attaching the light layer setup.

dude! you rock!!!!
do you build your own closed box in order to make it all dark as hell and bring inside some light from a opening somewhere? or you just use black background?
i really love your work, and really inspired by it, i love sci-fi as well, but i have to ask you as an artist you use photoshop to finish your works, you make it all digitally painting? cuz you rock man!!!!

Thanks a lot man!

In this particular render I painted a uniform bluish 360 gradient and used as a sky, but it's only there to light far away volumes and give general overall color, most of the light comes from the other sources.

I use PS often to fix stuff I was too lazy to do in 3D, as all of the weekly works are done within 6-15 hours and not much time.
Mostly to do some basic color balancing or add minor effects.

Here's a new one, currently catching up a bit with the weekly works due to 24/7 working hours at the moment : (

Eeek still catching up with the works a bit.

Here's a generic hallway, or whatever. Originally based on an older concept by me for a game.
Wish you guys a nice weekend!

Smashing! Keep it up. :)

What do you do to get the painted effet. Reduce noise in PS?
