This and coating interference based on cosTheta might give nice compound eyes for insects. I'll have more fun with this shader and volumes.

At this point regarding ISL my top request would be to access posOS() in bump shaders.

I've added the pigs in the previous post.

Basic shader on a flat surface, wich defeats a bit the very point of a 3d shader.

ps: the plane is 100m wide.

I have 6870 and Driver v13.1+APP SDK v2.8 and I can render scenes with OpenCL GPU accelerate.
But I have another problem:
In 3.6.5 I can't saw image http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... 38&t=12160
And now (3.6.6) I can't see sky... Sun light is OK, but sky - is black

Hi all,

I still have a question, why in hybrid mode (GPU), you not have include yet support for manage 2 cards ? In SLI or in dual card mode only ? It'll great improve performance. It's really powerfull in Octane or Cycles, it's quite frustrating to not have it in your product. Also, you not use 99% of one gpu.

Can you explain me why ? And also, do you plane to fix this ?
And do you plane to support Blender fur in export ?

Best Regards,

Matt

ps : It's one of the thing that I use more Octane or Cycles, but the possibility to code shader is one of you great features.

Forum is full of answers regarding that -.-'

Please, Please with sugar on top Glare, do a GPU FAQ, that would cover 50% of all posted questions here!!

Indigo Renderer 3.6.6 Beta Release

Post by Headroom » Sun Feb 03, 2013 3:12 am

Yes please! I believe two topics will answer at least 80% of the questions.

1. Update your GPU drivers before posting bug reports.
2. Make any attempt to understand that Indigo uses a hybrid approach to GPU rendering and what that actually means.

The most prevalent issue I have is that nowadays no one seems to bother anymore to educate themselves about the details because it is so easy to post questions or bug reports to a forum. Despite the fact of course the total avoidance to use the search function to look for answers that may have already been posted.

We do say on the downloads page to update the GPU drivers, but indeed nobody reads this; to be fair though, it's not in any of the forum posts.

Where on the site would this GPU FAQ go?

How about: Support > FAQ ;)
A "sticky" in the Help Forum linking there would be nice too!

it already helps having a place to link to quickly, instead of writing new text all over again each time :)
