Indigo Renderer 3.6.0 Beta Release

Post by OnoSendai » Fri Nov 30, 2012 4:17 am

This is the first beta for the 3.6.x series.
You probably don't want to use this for production work.
A lot of material stuff has had major rewrites so there are probably bugs and issues lurking in there.

Please post questions etc.. about the new materials to the following threads:

A fantastic release with great new features!!!

But we need Exporters to support that new stuff!
Its a shame having that new version but being limited to setup materials with Indigo GUI.
I would love to try double sided mats with some of the foliage in my scenes, and also to save that work back into that scene.

Maybe Exporter Devs could get some head-start regarding the new materials etc. so testing immediate testing could be done by everybody interested :)

The exporters will most definitely add support soon.

The modified Phong, by the way, affects all existing scenes. Just try it on the material ball, a chrome sphere (NK material) looks much better now.

Yes. It means you can drag an .IGS file from, for example, Windows explorer, onto the Indigo window, and Indigo will load the scene.

The left side of the image doesn't align with the right side perfectly when using the spherical camera.

Nice spotting. Probably due to border pixels, will fix.
