Hi dtoxic,

Maxigo has IES support (just tested and works fine here). Steps you describe seem to be correct too.
Did you have your camera and/or tonemapping set up correctly? Maybe your light was too weak or smth?
Try with a single photometric light and reinhard tonemapping.

Ha, I was looking in the wrong spot for them too, I kept looking in the emitter material options.

Here's I got them to work -

Create > lights > photometric lights > target or free
Modify panel > general > Light distribution (type) > Drop down to Photmetric Web, then choose an IES file.

Here are two IES files that I know work w/indigo, use these to test =)

I am sorry but "where" exactly?
I follow this:
http://www.indigorenderer.com/documenta ... ies-lights
and that:
http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... =19&t=7430
and again that:
http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... 0&start=15
and finally that:
http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... =9&t=11889

If i create a photometric light in 3ds max and add an IES files i have a Null result. (not exactly i have 1 pixel white where i have the center of my light :D )
even if i tweak my exposure control.
even if i choose an other ies file from http://www.indigorenderer.com/dist/ies-profiles.zip

If i create a plan with a indigo material i don't find where i need to put the link to the IES file.

So i probably misunderstanding something.

If i use a geometry to distribute the light, like a tube for example.
can i link an igm with an IES definition?

If it's correct (it seems no but..) can you send me the link to the technical documentation, i don't know how to do that in this kind of igm:

Code: Select all

<scenedata>
<material>
	<name>lamp</name>
	<diffuse>

	 <albedo>
	  <constant>
		<rgb>
		<rgb>0.5 0.5 0.5</rgb>
		<gamma>2.2</gamma>
		</rgb>
	  </constant>
	 </albedo>

	<base_emission>
		<constant>
		<rgb>
			<rgb>150000.0 150000.0 150000.0</rgb>
			<gamma>1</gamma>
		</rgb>
		</constant>
	</base_emission>

		<layer>0</layer>

	</diffuse>
</material>

<layer_name>
		<layer_name>Layer-0</layer_name>
		<layer_index>0</layer_index>
	</layer_name>
</scenedata>

Thank a lot by advance for your help :)

Find here a 3D and an IES file from Phillips with all the stuff we need for that

http://www.ecat.lighting.philips.com/l/ ... 958003_eu/

The ligth is distributing by smalls polygone squares.
With a color temperature at 3000 K; it provide 2800 Lm and 95 Lm/W Luminous efficacy.
