I saw that, nothing special, a few "new" futures but really all new renderers works similar and there is nothing new. Now we got a lot new renderers with very nice gallerys/videos but but just a few works fine.

...and what about SPEED?

Note: it is based onto CPU not GPU

It was tested on small and easy geometry model/scene and with multi-cores CPU

If it will be works good and quick on big interior or exterior with more than 2 source light, with nice materials and shaders, displ, hdri etc I say yes is really good BUT I saw similar nice presentation from RC Airon,Fry, maxwell v2 and Vray RT/2.0 ( I was beta tester on the begining) and now affter relesed final versions I`m see nothing new.

Of course this is very promising soft but better is wait for final version :)

Not so sure there ever will be a final version. It's stated that so far it has been a test platform for algorithms. To me that would mean it's more of an academic research tool than a solution aimed at a specific clientele for example Architectural Visualization.

Open source is nice as it invites other developers to learn from it. Something we can only benefit from. However, I have been interested in Computergraphics for about 20-25 years now (since before DKBtrace). In that period of time many a nice tool have been developed in an academic environment and plenty have vanished because the main programmer/researcher finished his/her degree, left the institution and went to work for a company.

The scarf is extremely nice! Interesting to know how it was made, what do you think, guys? 8) Simulation of the detailed mesh, maybe? The image is in the volume rendering section, so I have no idea.. :?:

It's a volume rendering :) No mesh.
