I cant find a link between your design and the whole concept of Indigo... The current logo has an I seen through a glass sphere showing the most basic aspects of light simulation, Maxwell has a sinusoidal curve design to symbolize a light-wave which rendering is all about, etc. I think if we have to change the logo, it should go along these lines, and have a minimalistic font, the one you chose is a bit heavy. I'll think about something, but im not a logo designer lol
EDIT: And it has to be a simple design, that could be overlaid on renders, like on your example.

These is a big version on the current one too..
But I do support the idea of a new one!!
Maybe som reflection curves or wavelength curves..?

I also like the old logo...
If yo don't have a big enough version, you just can actualize the logo, by making a big white sphere with a camera, a small glass sphere and this text inside...
It actually never would be the same, but if you have a good light setting, it may be quite similar and you can have it in any specific size.
The text can't be the problem, as you just can save a gigantic texture for it...
I also like the two other logos, but I'd like to stay to the old one...

I'd be only too happy to create a vector version of the old logo. And a two colour vector version along with it. Only too happy. I really like the old one.

Here's my first try at a logo concept:
This design was an attempt to include/blend the common sources of light . . . a sun, a moon & a light bulb. It also retains an element of the previous logo, that of an "I" being refracted through a lens.
Might also make a decent material preview scene, with variations in shape, thickness & smooth/hard edges:
Any thoughts?
