@U3dreal: the error occurs on opening the max file. I opened the kitchen file I sent you (the version in which scale was reset), which was a max file that opened and rendered fine with M2I 0.615b2. Although the max file opens and shows up ok in the viewports, it renders weirdly (some meshes disappear).

afecelis the same think and with me....this error msg on opening max files......everything its ok after press ok...but...what is this msg??

My max viewports acting very weird. Sometimes I see only flashes of my scene, sometimes only single meshes ...
Also got the same problem like afecelis .... scenes rendered correctly in 0.615 in 0.616 got error msg. "ex3ds" in undefied"after it Render button do not react after further pressing.

This is really strange .. no idea why this error accours
i deleted some varables but if i add them again it's still there..
also the walls get screwed when using xml export.. with 3ds it works correct .. very strange.. well we will see if i can find the problem..
but i'm pretty busy this weekend..
EDIT: Ok the walls were a matter of transform.. when resetted it works.

hey guys, I got another clue ...
Almost every scene created after installing 0.616 will crash, thats a fact.
I figure out that if I have a scene created under 0.615 which actually worked fine and renders with any problems, I clean that scene do "zero" and start creating new one ... after press Render ... no problems no error msgs.
It all renders correctly now under 0.616

Hi U3deral, I know you're busy this weekend, and I also know I´m a pain in the neck, so I also tried your script in Max5 (yup, even older than my usual Max6)since M2I and M2K usually run ok in Max5 as well, and got this error:

yup, new scenes give no problems. Shame loosing previous scenes (digging for backups.....)yes i think we will have to create news scenes... for 0616..from now on..
I also had no problems with new scenes..
