how are you doing your portal ? is it down as it should and as it is explained in the tutorial ? normals must be facing inward, portal object must be tagged as exit portal either in host application via fry object modifier or in the OBJ tab in main application.

This is Indigo PT+BiDir, 50 min. render, crisp and nearly clean! I really like the AA, very detailed render quality!

Indigo is the best! :)
bluriness has nothing to do with noise cleaning but with AA filtering. Real cameras are a little blurry too, that's why your 8Mpixels photos looks better downsized.

there is a little checkboxe called "S" near the output size. if checked, it enable supersampling. in most cases it's useless and memory hungry so it's off by default. that's all.

Thanks lwan, I appreciate your help.
In earlier beta-versions supersampling was on by default, I just didn't get it

WITH supersampling, fry is quite good :)
But STILL far away from being as sharp as indigo :D
If Indigo gets that fast, it definitely is the winner :D (for now, it might be preference, which means, for me, Indigo already IS the winner :D)

Mesh errors near the door on Indigo image :)
Normal smoothing should be off i think.

Nice test though.

sharpness/blurrines is really just a matter of AA filtering.
fry used to have a whole set of AA filters, including box filtering (very sharp and basic), but we decided that fry should include the fewest settings possible on the rendering process, so that you tweaks settings only if you need them.

BTW, are you sure your camera focus point is OK ? just wondering because the blur here is a little bit stronger than usual.

It's a shame that AA filtering selection is gone.
As for the camera focus - it's OK. Many folks experienced that issue and are very unpleased with it. Some people just can't live without strong AA filters, lol

I prefer indigo than fryrender. I like the indigo result. But fryrender it's more complete, has a great menu with a lot of options, you can config in the menu the lights, cameras, surfaces, etc.. indigo only has a menu in the exporters. If indigo one day would have a menu such as fryrender indigo would be one of the most renders engine.

Sorry for my poor english.
