My 2 cents:

Unfortunatly 3ds Max close it-self very often when I click on Materials (lot of lag)--> Indigo Renderer --> Indigo External

____
3ds Max 2016 fresh installation
using slate material editor
____

Then, it is impossible to link an external .igs medium in a specular Indigo material.

Something weird from my side, maybe an old dll somewhere:

I have to comment lot of "new" elements in the settings to be hable to open the result in 3.8.23 even 4.0.47.
  • shadow_pass
    merging
    dithering
    zero_alpha_outside_region
    receiver_quad
    far_field_receiver
    clamp_contributions
    gpu_max_depth
    receiver_num_wavelength_buckets
    max_contribution
    receiver_quad_pos
    receiver_quad_i
    receiver_quad_j
    colour_curves
..and change the camera quaternion type, then I have these errors:

HI Jay-Ko,
This version of IndigoMax is targetting Indigo 4.0.50.
That also means that the scenes it outputs will need to be run with Indigo 4.

:D ok

Then, I am surprised, there is no possibilities to see the material in the viewport?
