Hello all,
Here's a first version of new IndigoMax series. Right now for testing purposes some of previous features were locked. This release is intended for testing background / interactive modes. As well as material editor rendering.
What you might expect:
Pros:
- background / interactive modes
- progressive material refinement
- interactive tonemapping (for background and interactive modes)
Cons:
- Indigo materials are missing
- Interactive mode at the moment supports only object transformation and material updates
- No installer
Installation:
Download:
content of IndigoSDK should go to:
<max root>\plugins\IndigoMax\
appropriate IndigoMax.dlr should go to:
<max root>\plugins\
scripts should go to:
<max root>\scripts\IndigoMax and
<max root>\scripts\Startup
Notes:
- Renderer is world scale dependant
- All renders are affected by tonemapping settings
- Use default lights for light sources
- Versions only for max2011 / 2012 / 2013 64bit. Drop me a line, if some other is requested
Hope for some comments, suggestions and descriptive bug reports. Please post them in this thread or send PM.
Cheers,
Jake

Quick question.
How do you see interactive mode working? When I click render it renders out the view but if I add an object it does not update the render. If I click render again it freezes. Am I missing something.
Also that bug is back that if I bring up the compact material editor it crashes.
Glad to see there is progress being made.

Well, as noted interactive mode right now responds only to transformation changes (translate, scale, rotation). Other event will added later.
I will investigate other issues.
Thanks for report.

Hi Subpixel,
Is there any plan for a IndigoMax plugin for the new version of 3ds max 2014? Thanks

2013 plugins should work in 2014 too.
Still would be nice to see a new plugin version with new Indigo features supported.
Since I'm not working on Maxigo anymore I've been missing out the new Indigo stuff.

Hi sking,
Sorry for the delay. Indeed, suvakas is right, new Max 2014 SDK is supposed to be binary compatible with 2013. So plugins should work fine without recompilation. However, I hadn't chance to verify this.
Also, I'd be happy to implement new features, but still waiting for new release of Indigo SDK.
Kind regards,

Gotcha.
I guess we have to wait until the non-beta is out.
