Announcing IndigoMax

We at Glare Technologies Ltd. are pleased to announce IndigoMax – the new official Indigo plugin for 3ds Max.

IndigoMax is fully integrated into Autodesk 3ds Max, and will in the future allow real-time feedback when editing your scene in the Indigo render window.

IndigoMax uses the new Indigo Renderer SDK, which avoids the need to save the scene to disk before rendering, allow for a much faster workflow.

IndigoMax is developed by Jakub Jeziorski (subpixel), in association with Glare Technologies Ltd.

An initial beta is planned in early december 2011.

IndigoMax will be included with Indigo Renderer and Indigo RT licences.

Hello to all,

I have rewritten IndigoMax from ground up and I'm going to release first Beta shortly. Initial feature set will be a bit limited, but hopefully will cover most of basic areas.

Cheers,

As, I've mentioned it's a complete rewrite, since rendering is performed within Max. Anyway, it will be a renderer plugin, with all it's benefits and restrictions. This means it will be more similar to previous IndigoMax, MentalRay or VRay when it comes to workflow, than Maxigo.

I have changed Indigo Material UI a lot and now it will be possible to setup all material parameters (earlier some were hidden or calculated on the fly). So this version will reflect Indigo parameters more accurately.

However, I'll be open to comments and suggestions once Beta will be released.

Very good ! Looks promising so thats great. Maxigo plugin was as well allright but now I think will be much better in cooperative work, more and quicker new updates :) Can you show some screens from plugin IndigoMax as first preview for comments, suggestions ? ;)

Right now I would like to focus on this first release and implement as many features as possible. As such, I consider UI frozen for the moment. I would like you to test new workflow, how it works (not only how it looks like), so please be patient. It's really coming soon.

Cheers,

Hello all,

I would like to apologize for the delay, yet initial Alpha release has shown a number of stability issues on some machines. They should be solved shortly and once confirmed stable, I'll be able to post Beta.
Meanwhile, you might check some user interface captures attached.

Again sorry for the delay, I'll strive to publish as soon as possible.

Merry Christmas to All,

This SDK thing means the renderer starts within 3dsmax, not as separate application? If so, can we use max' procedural maps then, a la V-ray?
