some requests
some requests
1. integrated ISL to maxigo (like in cindigo, mostly for using perlin noise)
2. cancel button for possibility to cancel exporting process
3. fastbox filter integration
4. default mn_cubic 0.333/0.333
5. more control for material editor (c value, gamma exponent)
6. maxigo (indigo) is ignoring tiling, ofset, angle etc. inside of bitmap settings directly in material

Re: some requests
1.will check this when more urgent things are out of the way
2. done for next gen Maxigo (the "real" render plugin version)
3. done for next release
4. done for next release
5. added to "to do list"
6. done for next release
Anyway..the current roadmap is, that there will be one more (intermediate) version of scripted Maxigo to make it more compatible with upcoming Indigo 2.4. After that the old maxscript code will be abandonned and there will be a new Maxigo release that will act as a render plugin.

Re: some requests
Doesthis say, that Maxigo is gona integrate Indigo renderer in Max, hit render and Max will render Indigo output in Max-render-window? by using the SDK?suvakas wrote:...there will be a new Maxigo release that will act as a render plugin.

Re: some requests
The 1st release of Maxigo render plugin will act similar to Maxwell for example.
It means that it still launches Indigo GUI and then grabs the image back to Max.
By render plugin I mean, that the location of Maxigo will go under render panel. This also opens up a lot of possibilities since Maxigo will act sort of like a renderer and not just scripted exporter as it is now.

Re: some requests
Not to hijack a thread but, how's the proxy stuff going? It would be awesome to have a proxy object that you can paint/scatter/etc using already written max scripts and tools (advanced painter, groundwiz, particles, multiscatter, etc)
Using maps is a great way aswell, but if there was a simple proxy object you could let those other scripts/plugins handle the placement, rather than place them all at export (can take a long time if there are lots of objects on a detailed map) - Or a tickbox to "Use precomputed proxy locations"
Also that proxy material with the random colour is looking promising ;p

Re: some requests
Can you add possibilty to remove loaded EXR map ? It is impossible to remove it and when im archiving scene to zip, its packing it too when im not using it!
And what about MaxigoColor ? Internal processing of bitmaps (similiar to colorcorrect) without need of Photoshop ? Just basic functions like contrast, brightness, gamma, saturation, invert etc. Im working with huge bitmaps (8000x8000px) and maxigo have limitation of 2000x2000 as i know.or ? This can really speed up workflow and material creation.

Re: some requests
From where you can't remove EXR image? From Indigo material or where?
Re: some requests
environment tab under maxigo. When map is loaded, how to remove it or select "none" ?
Re: some requests
What if you un-check the Enable box?dcm wrote:environment tab under maxigo. When map is loaded, how to remove it or select "none" ?
It should disable Exr export.
Re: some requests
I know this
For example now, i have 1.5gb big scene and im moving from max to max (pc / another pc) and when i archive scene from max`s save menu, its zipping 150mb EXR i used - and doesnt matter that its unchecked.
Im using max 2k10.

Re: some requests
REQ : gamma setting for bitmaps please
edit : i was speaking with ZomB and in cindigo, they have gamma 1 as default for bump / displacement. I do some tests yesterday and gamma 1 is doing difference in bump comparing to 2.2. And i`ve read that inverting gammas are only for albedo maps not for monochromatic bitmaps.
What do you think suv?
