Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
OK, thanks Doug, your comments have helped a lot to decide what needs doing next
Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
Yes doug I saw this build but it provides .exe that I cannot open (it writes "cannot open this file as an archive ...).
And I don't succeed in resolving my error, it always appear, maybe it's related to my combinaison 32/64 bits ... (python is 64 bits also I think)

Another one to add to your work load-dougal2 wrote:OK, thanks Doug, your comments have helped a lot to decide what needs doing next
I can't see how to change focal length of the camera.
Can see/change it using the generic Blender renderer but can't see where with Blendigo
BTW - I really like the interface - feels very much integrated into Blender rather than an add-on

Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
I did download the free 7-zip program to unpack it. Win 7 gave errors before I tried this.everwind wrote:Yes doug I saw this build but it provides .exe that I cannot open (it writes "cannot open this file as an archive ...).
I am using Python x64 v2.6.3

Oops, I forgot to add Blender's Lens panel to Indigo's layout. That's easy enough to fix.Doug Armand wrote:I can't see how to change focal length of the camera.
Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
Ok, with a x64 compil it works (on both linux and windows 64 bits) ...
so you can note that with a 32 bits compil with a 64 system it doesn't (or at least on my computer)
edit : new error with a test scene :
[Indigo 2010-Jun-04 23:44:20] Object.create_mesh(): error with argument 1, "scen
e" - Function.scene expected a Scene type
Indigo exports all the materials and then it tries to export "emit2" wich is a mesh with a particle system (object visualization of fishes), and I have this error.

Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
Also I've just noticed that, like in Blendigoo 2.4.3 , there is no longer a camera shift option. Can that please be put in - and put back in Blendigo for 2.4.
It's essential for some of my work - also would have thought essential for Architectural work?

2 new issues :
- smoothing/flat : no effect (always flat)
- error "Object.create_mesh(): error with argument 1, "scene" - Function.scene expected a Scene type"
with every mesh with the majority of modifier and/or physic effects (subsurf, edgesplit, particle system ....)

Blendigo 2.4.x has camera shift, use the controls in Blender's camera settings panel.Doug Armand wrote:Also I've just noticed that ... in Blendigo 2.4.3 , there is no ... camera shift option.

Good point. What release notes ?!Doug Armand wrote: Was it mentioned in release notes?
I'll see i I can co-opt a Glare employee to help write/update some documentation. Joel?
Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
I think there is one another issue with light power :
with the same scene and same light setting (3 emit of 1500 gain 1 each) these settings are equivalent (more or less)
- blender 2.49 (blendigo 2.2 stable) : camera tonemapping with EV + 2 (iso 800)
- blender 2.50 (blendigo for 2.5 beta) : camera tonemapping with EV +20 (!!!!) (iso 800).
Looks like the emits are much less powerful, I don't know why ...

Thanks for the feedback everwind, I will investigate all these issues.

This version of EF should fix the 'filename' issue:
