Hi all,
Is there a way to use different shaders in Blendigo (gradients, noise etc.)? It would be very useful for me. I know i can use textures, but what about standard shaders?
I like the way Indigo works with Cinema 4D shaders. Is there a way to do anything like that in Blendigo?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Alexander

Re: Shaders in Blendigo
Do you mean Indigo's ISL shaders, or Blender's Textures, or something else ?
There is already a request to bake blender's textures to image so that Indigo can use them, and ISL is supported via Blender Text objects.

Blendigo doesn't give me an opportunity to choose shaders. Let's say i want to use noise as a displacement map, or a gradient as an alpha map. How do i do that? Where do i find noise, gradient etc.?dougal2 wrote:Do you mean Indigo's ISL shaders, or Blender's Textures, or something else ?

Blendigo gives me 2 options: texture and shader. If i choose shaders, i can't find ones. The only thing i can find is "NONE" option.
Here is the screenshot of what i mean: Thank you!

Re: Shaders in Blendigo
Thats because ISL shaders arent the shaders Blender has internally.
I'm guessing what you're talking about are these:
Those you can't use in indigo. What you can use is an ISL shader which is basically a text file, however as far as I know the only way to use it isn't through the exporter directly where you just pick "name.isl" file, but to paste the isl code inside the text window like so:
I believe there is a naming convention you have to follow for Blendigo to "detect" the shader, which is simply isl_(wtv you want here).

Re: Shaders in Blendigo
Borgleader, thanks for clarifying. That's exactly what i was looking for. However i'm not a code-master, so i'll rather go back to Cinema 4D and Cindigo for complex materials creation.
Thank you!
