Yeah, I think that part of the code is the culprit? It renders fine when I clip that out and set the texture index to 0.

Idk. I think that whole piece is junk that shouldn't be there, The material doesn't have textures set for albedo/bumb/exponent. I just tried to reproduce this in a new file and another old file and it didn't work so I don't know what's going on.
