Texturing object with many VERTS

Hi,

i got a prolem and cant find its solution,

I ve got object with applied subsurf so it have about 34000 Verts.
I have NO IDEA how to unwrap it for UV.
What moves You make in this kind of situation ?

I would model it again, using subsurf without applying it. I try to do it and I share the file :wink:

As you have a simple model, you could use alt+click to select a loop of vertice, then make seams (ctrl+e) for uv and then unwrap.

ZBrush has a tool to "undo" applied subsurf and finally restitute the cage, the only other alternative I know apart redoing it is to delete the extra edge loops that were added by subsurf, that is, delete pretty much all edges.

I didn't make seams but you can try It's not so hard with a simple mesh :wink:
