Blendigo error

Post by onnevan » Thu Oct 30, 2008 2:49 am

I can't get blendigo to work. In blender's console it throws me this error:
File "C:\Python25\Lib\npath.py", Line 90, in join
assert len<path> > 0
TypeError: object of type 'NoneType' has no len<>
Any suggestions would be much appreciated, Thanks

To me, noobish programmer, it sounds like your path to the indigo.exe file is "null" therefore it has no lenght. aka its inexistant.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I never used to have this problem. But now I see that indigowrapper.conf doesn't exist where it used to. How do we fix this? :?

I have red somewhere that you have to edit a file in Indigo directory with notepad and write your path to indigo exe, but my Zip file didn't contained such file (I don't remember the file's name, something with a wp or so extension)

That's the file! every solution to this mentions that file, but it doesn't seem to go with Indigo anymore :?

It goes with blendigo.
Open notepad. Type in the path to indigo, i.e:
c:\indigo\

go to the scripts folder in blender, i.e:
C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts

create a folder called bpydata

save your notepad file in the new folder and name it indigowrapper.conf

now blendigo should work.
Phew.

BTW I think this is a known problem with the installer version of 1.0.9
It should really be fixed if we refer newbies to this version however a stable for 1.1 cant be far away and will therefore supercede it.
