How to use two different UVMaps?

Post by Repgahroll » Thu Aug 21, 2008 3:19 am

Hello there :D

Is it possible to use two different UV maps on the same object?

have a object mapped, first map (UVTex) is the diffuse and the second (UVBump) (witch is different) is the bump mapping,

I tryed to enter the names in their respective UV Sets in Blendigo, but it returns:

Code: Select all

could not be bound to uv set with name 'UVTex', because that uv set was not exposed in an expose_uv_set element.
Thanks!
(Sorry my english)

Sry, its not possible. But you can let Blender draw the parts taken from a texture with one UVset onto an other texture using a second UVset.

I'm not sure if i got you right, but could you look at this scene? because I'm trying to use a blend, and the two textures have 1 UV set each (both sets are on the same object), but it doesnt work :(

Don't work...

This is what i'm trying to do... But i have just two textures, the "colors"(1000x980px) and the bump(250x250px)... would be nice if we could do it using blended materials.

Thank you!

This is actually quite simple. Create two sets of UV mappings. uv and lets say uvb. In blendigo assign your color map with uv and bump map with uvb. done deal.

I have uvb for brick textures brick.jpg, brickbump.jpg and uvd for the tf2 wallpaper.

uvb is used in the wall mat, and uvd is used in the wall color mat.
