DOF calculation in Blendigo

Post by GNUdo » Tue Mar 04, 2008 9:26 pm

First of all let me say I'm not a programmer, but sometimes I manage to get pieces of code that more or less work as expected

For some time I used this Depth of Field Calculator:
http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html
to obtain the correct values to use in Blendigo. It works very well but obviously it is not integrated in Blender, requires manual insertion, you have to switch windows, etc., so I decided to try to put its features into Blendigo.

So I reworked the Camera settings.

It works only for 35mm film and calculates the hyperfocal, near and far distance based on f-stop and focus distance set in Blendigo and the Lens value of a Blender camera.
With the "Camera" button you can set the focus distance from the Blender camera DofDist value.

What do you think? Could it be useful to someone else?

Ok, here it is.
Feel free to use as you like, but don't consider it a substitute of the official Blendigo.
I would be happy if the real Blendigo could be extended with my modifications or something similar :D
