Blender documentation regarding 2.5 and Python API

Post by Wedge » Wed Jan 09, 2008 5:24 pm

I was looking around for Blender and Python API docs and I found this link here:

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Rewri ... Python_API

Near the top it mentions that most scripts will no longer work for Blender 2.5. But it also mentions that porting the script shouldn't be too hard.

Not sure what to say, I was hoping previous scripts would work but I guess as with most technology, we must move forward. As it is right now, I think the script is in good shape. (as far as using up to date code) So now I wonder if I should take some time off and see where it goes, maybe there will be different ways to rewrite the script (to be better or more efficient) rather than just port it. Time will tell.

I don't know where Blender 2.5 stands as far as when it will be released but I think I'll take a break from coding and wait and see what kind of work might be involved to port/rewrite the script.
