Having switched from 3ds max I find blenders booleans pretty good (how they ship such an expensive program with such rubbish bools I don't know)

But I'll have a play with this script too, thanks for the heads up.

yeah, that was the only way i could model a bishop: make it with beziers, and then spin it and subtract the little slit it has in the side. blend bools didnt work for that

I think Blender having crappy boolean support has actually forced me to become a better modeller, as I plan my mesh a bit farther ahead than most people.

FYI

For a good tutorial on making a bishop, check out Graybeards "Bathtubs and Bishop" video at

Nicely done without booleans.

Thanks Delta for sharing.

I like using MoI for booleans. I never fucks up your mesh, but this script is definately very useful too.

I love modeling with curves. It is good to see someone who is a true vert pusher make a very clean mesh by not doing booleans or using curves. Those skills will come in handy someday.

true. I could model the bishop without curves or booleans, but why do that when its done in literally a 20th of the time and the megabool script spits out an *extremely* clean mesh, i can upload the blend if you wanna see it.
