zuegs wrote:Hi SmartDen,

inside "exportLight()", where you assign the "pathname" variable you get the wrong path, the path of the blender file instead of the "default.igs" path :? .
I think you should process the pathinfo from the "export()" function througt all the other function ("exportobjects()", "exportObject()") up to the "exportLight()" function. So it's handled the same way as it is currently for materials (which needs the path for texture-mappings).

I've seen that the GUI sometimes looks a bit strange as there seems to be some controls halfway hidden by other overlaying controls :? ... i'm not sure if this is only my Blender  but looks funny sometimes

many many many Thanks and best regards, zuegs
Thank you for remark! I've uploaded fixed version.
I have same problems with GUI. It's still something wrong with redrawing. But i'll found this bug too ;)

best regards SmartDen

The "redrawing" bug is actually probably not your script - its probably just Blender's OGL layer. (I've seen the "problem" in other windows)

BTW I know I've said it before, but: thanks for the script. It kicks ass.

Static Particles/Hair

Post by frank.bela » Thu Aug 23, 2007 8:45 pm

I want my particles back! Hello everybody. I like Indigo so much and Blender too and I like and appreciate the hard work you guys have done so far to bring us the Blendigo exporter - it works fine.
But please, can anyone help me? I need my static particles as hair strands from Blender as my main interest is organic/human modelling. It is a wonderful and easy to use feature in Blender. My question - how can this be exported? Is it a feature of Blendigo I have not explored yet?

Hi frank and welcome to Indigo community!
i'm sorry, but there is no chance to export particles with Blendigo or anyone exporter else. The problem is, that Inidgo can render only meshes, and particles are no meshes. If you find the way how to convert particles to meshes, than you can export it and render with Indigo. But now, we just have to wait before Ono build the particle support into Indigo!

Happy Blending yet, dude!

Thanks a lot SmartDen for your quick answer. I had a bad feeling about this  but hey, I just wanted an easier way - I do a lot of postproduction involving pictures rendered via Indigo and Blender. Of course it seems not as good as what I'm looking for. Of course it is my skills that must be getting better.

Anyway, the Blendigo is superb app - thanks for it once more.

@ SmartDen, about particles:
There was a script, that made geometry out of particles...

Idea: modify that script a bit, to make it exporting thickness-geometry as hair and point particles as tiny sphere primitives.
Not the best solution (best would be, that Indigo "simply" supports particles) and also not the easiest (I guess), but a good pre-particle-solution, I guess :)

How hard is that and what do you think of that idea, besides that? :)

you gotta select an object, and then mouse over the blendigo window. THEN the material thing will show up, but only if the object you selected in blender has an object assigned. if not, go to materials (F5 i beleive) and assign a new material and then just edit it in the blendigo window.

edit: are there any plans for loading the IGM's that the cinema.max(?) exporters can load as materials? it might be there already, but ive looked and cant find it

NOT TRUE.
I dont use blender installed, i run it from a folder off my flashdrive, portably anywhere. i download the zip from blender.org, not the installer. and everything works perfect for me
