Could someone explain to me how to set the exponent in Blendigo to go with a corresponding .nk data file? I'm trying to get good chrome, but I don't know what exponent to use. Using the material preview seems to indicate that a setting of 7000 gives at least a semi-sharp reflection, but still not a mirror finish as you might see on a car bumper.

A mirror-like finish is a large value around 1 million. There was a good test chart someone did awhile ago I do not know if it is still around or not. It showed the various exponent settings applied to a ball.

I don't know, if you meant to just "copy" the .nk-file instead of using it, but otherwise, you just should use "Cr.nk" with maximal possible exponent (1000000, as far as I know...)

If I had been able to run the script properly I would have redone the whole nk.data preview script. That page is so horribly slow.

Yep, it's very slow indeed...

I actually replied to the August survey and that's one thing I asked Indigo's guys: would it be possible to have an official webpage preview of all the nk mats...

I re-rendered all the NK previews a while ago with the official preview scene.

Unfortunately, nobody bothered to properly host the images after I handed them over.

Do you still have a copy of these files? I could temporarily get them up on the net

I could see if I still have them, might take a while.

It's the word 'temporarily' in your post that makes me inclined not to bother... a few months down the line and we're in the same situation.

Perhaps Ben would be interested in putting up a page on the Indigo site with them on, in which case I will definitely see if I can find them.

Yes well I was just going to put them up while Ben/Ono get their page up. But anyhow, I don't think such a page would be hard/long to create seeing as it's "only" displaying images, no sorting/... going on.
