Can we expect a Blendigo that will work with it?

Hi, current test version is located here https://github.com/StyriamMZ/blendigo/tree/2.80
It still lacks some features in user interface but overally it should be stable and ready to use. Future versions will be merged to official repo.

Download and then...

Copy/Move "indigo_exporter" folder from "Blendigo-2.80.zip\blendigo-2.80\sources\"
to:
"C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.81\scripts\addons\"
or
"root...\2.81\scripts\addons\"

Finally, as usual, Activate the Addon.

Works with 2.80 and the latest 2.81 daily. I'm testing it with Bone-Studio 2.81 version.

From little testing I've done I only found many Phong presets bugged with an error:

Code: Select all

A problem occurred with the scene:
Error while building scene: Error while loading phong material 'Cube': Only spectral units of eV supported right now..
Indigo version: Indigo Renderer v4.4.1, Windows 64-bit build.
Exporter: Blendigo 4.3.0
PS.
Would be nice to at least have:
1. Material Preview
2. Rendered Image (with passes/AOVs) sent back to Blender to further process/compose it.

Something like "Corona for Blender" offers.
But still, quasi-full integration would be perfect (alike old Thea 1.5, Maxwell~Render 3.2 or even PRman 21 with IT had)

Thanks! it's working great!

Are there any plans to get a real time Indigo preview inside of blender? Or better said, is it possible?

For starters, I would already be content with a material preview and an I/O bridge.

Hi

I am trying Blendigo for the first time. I got things up and running generally (awesome render engine from what I saw so far :D ) but the one problem I cannot fix is an error when trying to export the scene to an igs file.

I attached a screenshot of the blender message.

It still actually creates a file but when I try to open in Indigo I get the message below:

A problem occurred with the scene:
Scene parsing error: Invalid root element 'scenedata'
No Metadata.
Indigo version: Indigo Renderer v4.0.66, Windows 64-bit build.
No metadata.
Please contact support@indigorenderer.com if you have any questions

I have tried Blender versions 2.80.75 (current official release), 2.81.10 and 2.81.16 and got the same result on all.

When I just simply render the scene everything works well and I can save the igs file and reload from it etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there an official Blendigo option for 2.8x in the offering? The option above may be good for you young 'hackers' :D but us oldies prefer a simple install setup
