Group instances work! Yay!

Maybe it's worth adding features from:
https://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vi ... =8&t=13432
Attached is a version with the changes discussed above:

Added Advanced Render Settings
Added Emission Scale to External Material
Added Null Material to Material Types

Thanks for this! One step closer for me to upgrade. What are the chances to implement support for Linked Libraries?

Are you talking about linked igmesh? Here is my workflow:

Or maybe you mean something else?

Yeah I meant linked libraries. Create blend file with object and materials and just link it in master scene.
I did try method you described before but I never manage to render anything because I am always missing material. Tried what you wrote, plus gazillion combinations and could not manage to make it work.

That's pretty odd, I can render when igmesh is assigned and is not, just from linked geometry and now linked groups without problems. I've just made test on fresh blender/blendigo install and it works fine.

Maybe because I generate igimesh by export Indigo scene. I go to Export->'Export Indigo Scene' as 'Export Indigo Mesh' does not work.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to work, i think I've reported this... NVM, I export igmesh by rendering, copying mesh and renaming.

8) Good and a bit bad news...

Datablock ID Properties Patch ✓ In Master

Blender 2.79: Datablocks & Libraries Management
Forward Compatibility Broken
Unfortunately, this new IDProp type revealed a critical bug in current code, which crashes Blender on unknown property types. This bug has been fixed in rB15189baa5231d7 for the future, but it is impossible to fix this for existing releases. This means that trying to load a .blend file using new data-block custom properties will crash on any version prior to 2.79.

For more technical details about the problem, please see the dedicated task T51260.

Hey man it is great that you will do so. Are you in arrange with Glare tech to support Blender plugin better? If so that would be great news!!!!
