Viewport textures display

Hi,
Is it possible to show textures in viewport? Material color shows fine, but I can't manage to show texture.
EDIT:
Only way I've found is to switch to BGE and add/enable texture there...
Best regards.

Yes, in the viewport settings panel (to the right) select Multitexture instead of GLSL.

I've tried before posting and same thing, no texture display...

I believe ALT-Z toggles between textured and solid rendering mode.
IIRC textures must have been properly UV mapped with the Blender internal tools/workflow.
You can have a perfectly fine UV map with an Inigo Texture rendering fine in Indigo but if you don't use the Blender internal material settings it will still not show textured in the viewport. At least that's what I remember. It's been a while unfortunately.

Sure thing about uv mapping.
I've checked Maxwell exporter (I'm still Maxwell user but Indigo is hell faster and I want to switch) and there is no problem to display viewport texture. This exporter uses blender internal map loader and adds its properties on bottom. Blendigo have no "load from drive" button for blender texture map so maybe that's why blender can't "see" texture?

are you sure you are applying the image to all the faces of your model in the UV image editor?
after you unwrap, go to the UV editor and select all the faces and then open the texture you want to attach it to them. if you are only applying the image to the material properties it won't necessarily show up if you are working in Blendigo, only in Blender internal - and even with Blender internal material settings, if you are using Multitexture and not GLSL in it will only apply to the faces you have assigned in the UV editor.

Oh that way! Thank you!
So it displays only texture loaded in image editor, that's why I couldn't make it work... So currently there is no way to show textures bind to material right?

if you unwrap your object, add a new material and texture (all in the material editor in Blender, not Blendigo) set your shading to GLSL and view in texture mode. that seems to work. it seems a little inconsistent, but Textured Solid mode does not display the texture even with these steps - I'm not sure why not.
but the best way is still to do as I described above and apply the texture in the UV/Image editor. if you do that your textures should show consistently in all textured viewing modes.

I've got texture display using this method with both material and textured modes.
With proxy/uv project workflow however this is the only method available because you can't switch to edit mode with proxy objects. I don't know why it hasn't been implemented, maxwell plugin uses same texture loader as blender internal (with few additions at the bottom), and when I load texture there it displays fine in all modes combinations except multitexture/textured solid.

Ok, easiest way to do it is:
- switch to GLSL (I'm not sure now if multitexture mode has any advantages)
- switch to blender game
- add material
- add texture
- check if coordinates for texture are set to UV
- switch back to indigo
- done, texture is displayed in both GLSL and multitexture
Also in BGE it's possible to turn on viewport shadows for sun, I'll prepare quick tutorial on that.
I hope it will still work when PBR viewport is introduced...

Sharing this one (not mine):

Blender keeps shadows on after switching to Indigo. It's still ok with about 500x500m with 10000 shadow map resolution.

Thx.
Awesome portfolio btw. Are those Indigo renders...?

Thank you Oscar, no, all those are Maxwell. And of course yours: Chapeau bas!
I'm still testing Indigo and it is better in many areas including look but most important factor is speed, that's why I've came here.

@Eneen if it's speed that you came for i think you are in for a treat.
Welcome to Indigo.
