Incomplete geometry in render - Noob help!

Post by Voytech » Wed Oct 08, 2014 12:33 am

Right off the bat I will say that this is my first serious foray into Blender/Blendigo so I am a total noob at both! Forcing myself to grow out of Sketchup as this project needs animation and shape bending.

Anyway, attached are two screen shots. First is the geometry in Blendigo, second is the resulting render. I will answer all questions as best I can. I appreciate your help, dear Blender Gurus!

- Are those objects meshes, not extruded curves?
- Is there any object scaling?
- Are all objects enabled for rendering?

Check these and see if that helps...

Yes

Yes

Problem appears as soon as I try to add any keyframes to these two objects. With no animation they render correctly.

Ok. So it seems like it was something to do with scale. These meshes were imported from sketchup. Recreating them in blender fixed the problem (and taught me a lot about modeling in blender lol).

Thanks!
