Is it possible to allow gain values that are less than 1 ? ie. I want to set absorption to 0.00001 but the least I can get to is 0.001 .

@neepneep:
i can extend the gain range... whats about gain=0.001 and R=G=B=0.001 ? Not nice but should work :wink:
[EDIT]: ok sorry i see the problem.... XML values are clamped on 3 digits after period... will update soon... stay tuned :wink:

this thing is fucking piss! makes it sooo much easier when you actually see what youre tweaking. pretty much as close to integration into Blender as possible right now.
thanks alot!

@ zuegs: I have two problems here.

1. I can't use the old Blender2Indigo07 exporter anymore (I have a python error)
2. If I call a mesh ".sphere" the script doesn't export it as a sphere primitive (like happened with the "old" exporter)

@kepler:
1. sorry but this two exporters are independent... expect perhaps of the .conf wrapper.
2. yes it's right, but this script is not the successor of Blender2Indigo07... but perhaps will have time soon to implement the primitives too.

What do you mean? They should work both?

I have another one for you - when exporting with an environmap, it will write the wrong path for the EXR file. It seems to go to the "indigo folder path\HDR" ...

I'm a bit of an Indigo novice, so excuse me if my comment here is off-base...

However, I've noticed that, under "Tonemap," there's no ability to select "Linear" as a tonemapping type. There's just "Reinhard." So I guess if that's a bug, then that should be fixed too.

That aside, this exporter is really very useful, even as an early beta!

As an aside, for those who don't know, Blender 2.43 final has been released. I don't know if Blender.org has been updated yet, but you can download it from here:

EDIT: Looks as if Blender.org has been updated, after all.

@kepler:
yes they should work both. I can't see any reason why they shouldn't. Could you describe more precisely (error msg, console output) what's going wrong?

@neepneep:
one more :wink: , thx neepneep, you have a good eye :wink: , i uploaded fixed version in first post... should work now (that was an older routine from an older exporter, i haven't realy rechecked it since)

#melon:
yes, "none" stands for "Linear" mapping... i can rename it. Will also have to add a "output igi" button which give the possibility to do tonemapping as a post-process with indigos "IndigoToneMapper.exe".

[EDIT]: ok, i have to go to bed now 8) ... will be back in about 8 hours :roll:

@zuegs: all I'm getting after the warmup is a totally washed out white image :? Do you know anything about this? (the png created is only 1k but the igi file is more taht 3 mb).

Damn, it works perfect. The material preview option is a fantastic idea.
Just like to point out something with indigowrapper.conf under windows xp in case someone have the same issue :
you have to write the path this way :
c:\progra~1\indigo (and not c:\program files\indigo)
