Post by iOnStallion » Wed May 12, 2010 12:26 am

Hi there it has been a long time since ive been here, first of all i want to gratulate you ono for your fantastic work, i think it was a complete year now since ive left this community. But there is something i have to ask, why did you started to collect money? i mean you were the guy who hated maxwell and final rendere for this reason...

I don't see how people can blame him for turning Indigo into a commercial product. He worked hard on it for years as a hobby - why not turn that hobby project into a career and turn Indigo into something much greater than it was?

Hi iOnStallion,
thanks for the compliments.
At some point you have to earn some money to pay for food, rent etc.. :)
I don't hate Maxwell btw., I have lots of respect for those guys.

Allright seems fair to me, just was interested what nik would say.

I have another question how is it with the legal issues? Do you have a disclaimer somewhere? cuz i want to use some indigo rendered stuff on my portfolio from which i sell stuff but i wouldnt sell indigo rendered pictures. I just need them to show them what i could achieve with high performance renderers like indigo.

That's totally okay man. You're using the free version? That's cool to create sample renders - hit me up (ben@indigorenderer.com) if you need to create commercial renders with Indigo.
