Pibuz is certainly right... I would go bidirless for such complex materials, longer but safer (so not always longer all in all).

Care to expose the medium code $oup ?

Yes it's looking cool btw. Despite everything you should perhaps reduce the transmittance map's saturation some bits ?

Yes it definitely wasn't the most optimized material. It's just the Indigo logo slapped on a specular with absorption layer transmittance turned on. SSS with a uniform value of 500.
