The Indigo dA page?

Post by Godzilla » Sun Jun 07, 2009 4:29 pm

http://indigorenderer.deviantart.com/

Just discovered this today... it appears that whoever set up the page (either benn or ono, im assuming) has not logged on in about 1-2 years?

Well, I see dA as a major advertising opportunity for you guys. There are many professional and amateur 3d artists on dA who don't know about Indigo Renderer and would likely be willing to purchase a license after they see what it is capable of.

Just a suggestion.

it was neither ben nor ono, but someone from australia (timothy suess). at least that's what the page says :P

until indigo went commercial i would have agreed with you, but da is hardly the "professional community" (read: furries and narutards) i think glare would like to attract ;)

There are many professional 3d artists on dA (or at least very good 3d artists...) who would be willing to at least try Indigo if they saw what it was capable of.

And those are just the architectural designers I was able to find in under 2 minutes.

So, if neither ono nor benn have set up a dA page, I suggest you do. :P

Ono's got a page on there. But yeah - an indigo page would be rad. Especially if you guys let us post some of the indigo stuff onto DA :D

Perhaps you could add a check-box on the submission form like:

"Do you give us permission to use this render on Indigo's Deviant Art page?"

And you would obviously do some some quality control before uploading dA.

OMG.. I can see it all coming together now..? What if everyone had a site wide profile complete gallerias? Sort of like a facebook profile, except for their indigo art?
