Im trying to accurately recreate these bullets.

I used cu.nk for the top part and it looks fantastic. Im stuck on the bottom part though. I used the brass mat fromthe db and it's just not reflective enough and its a bit too much on the yellow side... Not metallic enough.

Dude why don't you try stuff yourself just once?
Especially for the mat from the matdb it would be only about changing the blend factor (duh!) :roll:

Try making it a blend of gold and copper; that should work pretty well.

Thanks, that was just it. Only problem is that it gives me these black blotches..

nice.

about the "black blotches": do you mean the black reflections on the bullets?
this is because your background is totally black, use an exr, sunlight or build a closed room around your scene to avoid it.

That's the environment of the scene, reflected :roll:

There is one basic physical rule wich it is important to know, wich says that if a material reflects 80% of the light it receives, then one can't see more than 20% of it's diffuse component, because
In physics, the law of conservation of energy states that the total amount of energy in an isolated system remains constant.
Your metals look perfect to me :)
