Hi everyone!

Unfortunately, for the past couple of months, I've been pretty overwhelmed with my real job, so I haven't had time to continue working on this project. Sorry to have disappointed you guys, but times are tough, and I've had to make keeping my real, paying job a priority. :) Anyway, just in case someone else wants to pick up the project, I've posted the source here:

http://www.digitizingdan.com/joomla/ind ... &Itemid=14

The code is messy, and comments are scarce, so if you have questions, please feel free to message me.

Enjoy,
MSUdom5

Thanks for islp already MSUDom5, I'd like to integrate the project in the developer's projects thread if you agree.

I'm not telling that I'm picking the project up, but it will be visibly pending to a good soul.

Hopefully that'll be you :)

if it makes it into the developer form section with a subversion repo, i will probably help maintain it. Maybe ill look into hosting it on my site

Perhaps we can manage that out, that's not on my side tho.

Wow great eman ! I'll uprise the action priority when we have more details about the context ;)

If you ever take a firm decision wich renders you operative on that topic, feel free to create the threads you need in the developer section (todo -1 for me ;P).

Hello Everyone,

I must be missing something. I am running on Ubuntu 8.04. The program starts fine. I load the suzane mesh, and click update preview, and nothing happens. If I click Preview...Render Preview, I get :

Problem launching indigo.

I have set the Indigo path to point to the correct directory, and Indigo starts fine manually. I have launched the ISLPreviewer from a terminal, and there are no error showing.

Can anybody offer a clue?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think I ever tested in Ubuntu. :)

Hmm, what color is suzanne when you load? I haven't had a chance to work on this in a while. Not sure why indigo won't launch if you have the right path set up.

Sorry, I know I'm not much help. Hopefully I'll have time to update ISL Previewer in the near future.

MSUdom5,

When I load suzane, it says:

Loading suzanne.obj... Done

But nothing ever shows in the window.

Hmm, suzanne should load automatically when you start. Is there anything in the GLSL log?

Ah. Not sure if GLSL is supported by GeForce4.

I believe you are right...a quick google seems to suggest nvidia 5 or 6 and up is required. Are there any other options open to me?

You're really determined to learn ISL. :)

The best way to learn is trial and error. Set up a preview scene with a shader material, and try to achieve different textures using a trial and error approach. Time consuming, but it's the best way to learn IMHO.
