The result you see in my render above is from using a very small plane with it's normal pointing in the direction of the light - in this case downwards.
If you could let us know what 3d app you use, I'm sure someone here can talk you through how to set it up.

OK, I've rendered the whole lot. 2475 are compatible with indigo.
Anyone got any good ideas on how to display/distribute the renders? they total about 233mb.

Thanks Dougal. Much appreciated. And thanks to Pibuz for the goodies.

No problem, I'm glad I could give my machine a decent job to do ... so many wasted CPU cycles ...

I think I've done that successfully in the past, but don't quote me on it...

afaik, IES lights don't include frequency data, just how strong the light goes where.
So, simply using RGB / Blackbody light in the desired colour should work fine.

use a very small plane with an Emitter material and load your IES profile into that. remember, Indigo doesnt have "lights" per se, but rather any object can emit light.
using a tiny plane is the most efficient way, though, because Indigo projects the IES profile from a point at the center of each face, in the direction of the face normal. so for a single IES light, you just need one face, therefore a plane.
hopefully in the next release or two there will be a more comprehensive support for all kinds of IES profiles as well as linear IES lights, etc etc.

I still have that file in a backup. If someone can host it, I'll give it to them to host.
