SSS (subsurface scattering) and translucency

Post by motorsep » Tue Sep 26, 2006 11:29 am

Is it possible already to have such effects as SSS (sub-surface scattering) and translucency to simulate wax, ice, snow, skin, curtains (when sunlight blows behind them), etc. ?
If so, how to I set up materials in Blender to get SSS?
Thanks.

Does SSS or translucency supported by Indigo? I mean I don't mind fixing .xml file by hand after exporting scene from Blender
I think it doesn't matter what Blender supports as long as Indigo supports it and it could be defined in exported .xml file.

A miss these features by texturing stores or lamp shades too. Especially the translucency
