Are you using Blender then i can send you the .blend and you can render which frames you want and i'm rendering in 320X240 it will be featured on Youtube, and you will be named both in the beginning and the credits in the animation, and in every forum i post this project on . The render time per frame is about half hour not noise free really but acceptable samples per pixel about 450-500, depending on the computer mine is not the best so help is very much appreciated. Here is a picture from frame 5/250

the pawn is moving :o spooky!

You know what? It would be nice, to simulate needed time :D (Make the game needing for a very long time- from sunrise to sunset, as the night is just a violet something, in the standard sky-model^^

@Ono: do you think, you could "translate" the old skymodel to the new one? Just for night, where it's quite strange to see everything beeing purple xD

(I know, it's slow and it doesn't allow bidir, but if we want to make a full 24h day, we'd need the new skymodel...)

new idea about lighting, kinda complicated, but possible:

a spotlight-like light for the piece, that's gonna move, and different lighting for the two sides. Different, dramatic (from beyond) lightings and camera angles. bluish, bright light and nice ambient for white, red light with very dark ambient for black :D

i will DEFINITELY help render, with a quad core comp!
Oh, and also someone should set up a giant Himachi (or whatever that program is called) network with network folders, so we can see all the frames.

and i'll start working again on my program so that it will auto-close indigo when X samples per second occur. that would be useful for this kind of thing.

one more thing, who will distribute and assign the IGS's? i think the distribution should be based on your computer's power. for someone with a dual or quad core, they get the caustics-and-refractive/reflective-heavy scenes, and pple with not so good get not so heavy-loaded scenes. Everyone upload your rig so we can decide whats right!

through hamatchi...

but there are problems, with it...

Schwenk already connected, but then, I didn't know, how to go on, to start a networked render...
and now, he showed me, that it might be my domain... With the settings on Domain, I can't make it workable :S...

Hey hey didn't expect that much replys about rendering ok here it goes i've rendered 9 frames now we could do the thingy about day to night but then, we need to render everything first and then fix the effects we need someone who's good at violet then i'm not good at it really, ok how shall we do this now want me to export all frames one by one and send them to you or shall i bake the .blend file and send it included with the textures to everyone who wanna render? If we want to discuss this further we could use MSN pm if you want my Hotmail. BTW i'm still using 0.8 should i change to 0.9? And i'm at our summerplace most of the summer but i got access to a computer a little while almost everyday somedays many hours too.

Give me the file ^^ !
I want to render tooo !

change to 0.9
Yes of coures it's faster !! ^^

and I think it's better to fix the .blend and send it so the projekt is more flexible with rendering frames.

Alright i'll send you a pm soon with the link, yes i'm changing to 0.9 now everyone who wants the .blend and wanna help render send me a PM.

Samples per pixel is 450-500 per frame. We can increase it afterwards or denoise it with violet

you'd have to include the textures and maybe also write down, which mat should have which values...

...or you zip together ALL the different .igs s :)
