Heavy mesh redering

Post by Kukr » Fri Sep 28, 2018 2:52 am

Hello. Is it possible for Indigo to Render a very high poly mesh?
I'm looking for a software where I can import 3d scans directly from a 3d scanning software. I use Artec Studio. It outputs a mesh and a color map. As the whole geometry is "physical" not normal map, bump, etc, the mesh is very complex.
I know that the obvious way is simplify meh in a 3rd party software, but this is not an option I'm looking for.

I routinely export meshes from zbrush with many millions of polys and Indigo can handle basically anything you throw at it, as long as you have enough ram... I use blender, so for efficiency in the viewport you can work with a proxy, lower-resolution version, which is linked to the high-res obj.
