Importing Geometry into Indigo stand alone

Hi there guys !

I was wondering if you have ever considered to make the Indigo standalone something like a studio, i mean, to make it able to import and manipulate the geometry (rotate, scale, copy, scatter, etc etc ), orbit the models without being in rendering mode and so on...I think that to implement that features could be very useful ( mainly for us...the SketchUp users ). :)

Don't know , just a thought :D

Hi Lal-O,

we were considering this and iirc there already is some functionality like this (though not enabled in the official Indigo builds).

What file formats would be most useful to you?

Hi there fused ! Thx for the reply :D

Well, so far it could be .Obj , but any would be great since i have 3ds max ( I use it only to change file formats to .Obj and be able to use it in Sketchup as a linked geometry -Sketchup does not suppor high poly models- ).

To be working only with empty boxes (inside sketchup) instead full geometry or any nice geometry preview is kinda frustrating when trying to get a nice archviz composition. (This would be the only reason why i'd migrate from Sketchup to 3dMax, but max -to me- is really complicated lo learn).
