The need for standalone features is inversely proportional to the exporter features; C4D users are them less in need, the exporter has the more features. I don't know whether SU supports UV scaling natively.

If you are new to "3D" it's okay to start with Indigo because it's an amazing renderer, only that you can not load and transform meshes: it's a no go.

Im not saying indigo should get uv mapping, but it already has a texture editor to make small adjustments, so why not make it easier to use for the average person? :) The discussion was never about adding something that wasn't there, more so making preexisting stuff more user friendly :)

1) Sometimes, the UV matrix is of great help for last minute texture scale adjustment without having to reexport everything.

2) I have a client case where an architectural scene is tested with various floor materials. The various materials have textures which have different scales. Using UV matrix, you can have a per-material scaling, and switch materials quickly on the same scene. Without it, you would need exporting the whole scene for each tested materials.

3)Also, multiple UV coordinates (when using multiple textures) are often a PITA, especially with SketchUp

So, there is definitely a use for this. Don't think because you don't use it nobody does :) Please keep the matrix

Its not about getting rid of this functionality at all!
And sure there are always situations where people could use some feature here and there...
My only point is not to invest development time into features that are used very rarly, but rather focus on features that can help a bigger group of Glare customers since the Team is quite small and dev output thereby limited.
