Hi every body,
I'm wondering about something that could be very usefull (at least for me):
If I want to create a landscape with indigo renderer, I open Sketchup, create a rectangular face as to be the ground, I apply a landscape texture, I subdivise the geometry, and apply some displacement parameters, then I export the scene to Indigo and it calculates the ground geometry by subdividing and displacing the rectangular ground face.
There is my question: can we let Indigo generate this landscape, and then convert it/isolate the subdivided landscape as a single mesh component/geometry to be reopened in Sketchup, or any other modeling program ?
I hope you understand my question and can give it an answer
Creating a mesh geometry with Indigo's displacement
Re: Creating a mesh geometry with Indigo's displacement
I think Indigo does save displaced meshes on disk (optionally, may be on by default) but it would then take an igmesh plugin for SU and I don't know about that.

Thanks CTZN for your answer.
Ok so I should just need a converter/exporter reverse from indigo to sketchup ? Does someone know about it please ?

Re: Creating a mesh geometry with Indigo's displacement
Indigo doesn't save the subdivided and displaced mesh to disk, sorry!

Thanks Onosendai for your answer,
You might be helpfull about this with your amazing skills with Indigo. Any suggestions about how doing what I am saying ?

My bad, I thought it might have done that...OnoSendai wrote:Indigo doesn't save the subdivided and displaced mesh to disk, sorry!
