i say this again here:

it's one thing that you can say kt has fake MLT and it's another
thing to lie that "yes, i talked to the author and he told me this
& that".

can you see the difference?

i've heard so many times that kt is not unbiased in other forums,
it's the first time to respond because of user claims that he has
spoken with me and the info comes directly from my mouth.

i don't want Kosmokrator to say kt is unbiased - he can believe
whatever he likes - but i want him to admit that his "talks" with me
is something lying on the fantasy side... ;)

Hi Giannis,
Sorry for any misunderstanding or offence caused.
I think Kosmokrator probably misunderstood, because Kerkythea used to be biased (photon maps i think), and still has a biased mode as I undertand it.

I don't want to be involved in some kind of internet flame war or anything like that, I'm sure you feel the same way :)

Well in that case, I think you'll have to wait until Kosmo comes back online :)

I don't know kerkythea, but I hope I'm right when I say: everything has a price, wether speed or accuracy... If Indigo and Kerkythea have different approaches, that's what is good to me; or what would be the point ?

Peace, that's all a mistake :)

Guy

as a professional I can only understand the reaction of Giannis.

In terms of being professional Kos provided obviously a false
statement also without any backup.

And the argument is not about KT being biased the argument is
about a point that a coder of KT said it is fake.

And that is in that case very unprofessional.

Wording is a very tricky subject. As a foreign person I made
quite many wording mistakes. After all I often realized what I
wrote, but I did not see it while I was writing it.

I think we should calm down and prevent false information without
a backup.

In reality for those statements in other environments you could get
into trouble with the law.

So lets be productive.

One of Kt's main strengths(latest version) is the wide range of rendering options offered for you to pick from; from traditional raytracing, to bipt to MLT to a clay renderer. You guys can tell which is biased and which unbiased.

So, I also, being a KT member, suppose Kosmo was talking about an older version.

ya thats what I actually like very much about KT.

You have different engines for quick studies and than
you can run a slower MTL solution over it.

I just hope that KT Blender work will grow because
Blenders internal rendering is not good for
products anymore at all compared to many other engines.
