I noticed that a rendering competition was announced over at sketchuptexture, see link below...

It seems like they provide the base model, you can retexture and add entourage but not change the geometry of the main model.

and there was me wondering what I could possibly do with all my free time...

As far as i looked into this, there's no rule that says you have to use SketchUP, right?

Just had a look.... it is kinda tempting... I reckon you could get some pretty nice shots of this place...

Definitely interesting! Something more could have been done on the prizes, maybe.. I already have a couple knowledges and three or four respects in my drawers, so... The model is cool, but for me the time is short.. maybe some closups.. Gonna think about it when I'm back from my holiday

So, did anybody from the forum (or using Indigo, for that matter) enter the competition?

I did think about it but I've just had ZERO time lately... I might do a shot or two for my own amusement some time!

Edit: Just looked at the Top 30, maybe should have had a try, there's a fairly big range of quality on show there!
