After reading Lycium's blog
Introducing pure GPU rendering entry, I have to say I'm impressed! 7x from a mid range GPU?
Is it simple or bidir?

Why are the dual FirePro 700s slower than the mid range cards? What rendering modes are supported? Do we need a lot of VRAM now that it's pure GPU?
Great news btw!

Fantastic!!!
And please implement a realtime update, like Maxwell Fire, Octane etc...
Beware, competitors!!

Finally Glare dropped down the pants!
I would love to see the first scene rendered with the open console on the Mac...

Different scene, hard to compare. I also suggest that there is still a lot of room for enhancements and optimizations. OS X drivers can also have a different state of quality...

I suggest Path Tracing, otherwise they would tell

Yes, all the meshes and textures and Rendering buffer needs to fit in the VRAM

I requested this already some time ago, and afaik there already has been some work to implement sth like this in Cindigo
Hopefully Yves will find some time to get this to a releasable beta exporter
Is There already a multi GPU support for Windows, or is this Mac only so far?
Think my time has come, to finally Upgrade my GPU
best regards and thanks to our devs for this great news!

Hm. Maybe they should risk a look at Blender cycles.
There you can decide wether you want to have the texture in the RAM or VRAM. Not silly.

Maybe a interesting "fall-back" option, but there should be quite a big slowdown here, even bigger if you have multiple GPUs. Maybe next gen DDR4 RAM could help here (a little?!)
Do you maybe have a link regarding that Cycles feature?
There is also the buzzword "Out of Core Rendering" that maybe is also usable here for GPU rendering, but I'm only guessing...

I have 1 GB of VRAM. How long will I come with that?

Check you Indigo RAM usage for you scenes and you will know!
High SS values and big resolution is the main problem here...

A waste of money as long as no release is available if you ask me
Since the 750ti Maxwell card scored that nicely I would suggest to wait for the next batch of Maxwell cards with more Rendering power, they should hit the market around October!

Awesome news!!!
I wonder if this makes animation possible...

Nice to see you hanging out here Suv
Animations are already possible:
