This is going to be a hard decision. all these designs, all these logos are great, but i also prefer to a smaller and lesser logo.

@ camox

nice dude... one crit. perhaps u should have cut the text a bit lower down. might be nicer without the cut infact. just fin d it more distracting than anyhitng else. and that last seriff of the r in renderer is just asking to be lined up with the tail of the g ;)

I like the logo of Cire very much, I'm not sure for the fonts (especially the "D") but the concept of the logo itself is strong imo. Did you make a test scene out of this one ? May I ask you please a vector based file of the logo (ai), I would like to do one...

Camox, your one is neat too, minimalistic... why not ? :)

No, no test scene on this one (yet?).

Attached is the vector version of the logo (no text). Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

guys

you render engine is using a name of a material which is well known to everybody who is familiar with art - design.

why don't you base you logo on the indigo material???

it could be abstract - or a word - but I think you should make a reference
to the color.

otherwise there is no real justification to use indigo.

How about the fact that it just sounds cool? 8)

BTW: My logo concept was done in one of shades of indigo, except for the watermark versions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo).

Besides, any concept that becomes the new logo may have it's color converted later . . . or not.

quite frankly, camox-- yours rocks. - its minimalism fits the indigo program concept perfectly.

art deco is also cool... but thats off topic.

I think we shouldn't change the logo at all!

I must agree.
Not that I can come up with anthing better atm, but the old logo still looks best in comparison to all the proposals. :(

...just wanted to try out an idea I had for a logo.

I tried to play with the meaning of "indigo", as a spectrum between blue and violet. The general form is an "I" in itself, and the "R" shape comes is supposed to be inspired by wavelenghts, because of the spectrum reference.

Indigo (or spectral indigo) is the color on the spectrum between 440 and 420 nanometres in wavelength, placing it between blue and violet. Indigo and violet are different from purple (as defined by chromaticians color scientists) which cannot be seen on the electromagnetic spectrum and which can be achieved using additive primary colors by mixing blue light with a red light.

Tying to keep it simple was one of the most important issues. There's still much playing about to do

kind regards
